EIPA invites you to its first executive education course on “The Politics & Management Deal: Enhancing Public (Financial) Governance and Management in European Cities”, which will be held in Athens on 7-8 March 2016.

This course builds on the successful agreement between politics and management in combination with strategic budgets as implemented in the EPSA 2009 and 2011 winner Cities of Sant Cugat (ES) and Bilbao (ES).

EIPA invites you to this new executive training, where you will actively learn how to reach sound local public institutions by achieving a win-win deal between politics and management; a deal to be reached in the ‘organization keystone zone,’ the zone in-between the corporate/politics and executive boards and teams.

You learn from the ‘Politics and Management Deal (PMD)’ model, a proven concept, which is successfully applied for instance by the City of Barcelona. This model is a comprehensive and structured system that embraces a wide range of tools and concepts including the whole of government and its administration: from management to finance, from definition to execution of strategy and from result-oriented trends to visionary leadership.

This executive course is addressed to public leaders and senior managers, who wish to acquire new or up-dated skills to design public strategies, align them with political priorities as well as to embed them in the available financial resources and thus establish sound performance and management/control systems supported by hands-on practice and stewardship from the different European city cultures.
