Register for the EIPA Seminar on Innovation Capacities in the Public Sector: Strategic Linkages between Leadership, HRM and Innovation, Maastricht 9-10 December 2015

10/07/2015

Would you like to learn about European practices and cases of management flexibility, new leadership styles, and incentives to ensure innovation capacities as integrated support measures for innovation in public administrations?

Then join us at our seminar on Innovation Capacities in the Public Sector in Maastricht in December 2015.

Governments are increasingly turning to non-hierarchical methods of public service delivery, whereby the public innovation policies need to be translated into operational strategies ensuring a dynamic innovation capacity framework in the public sector.

Innovation capacities will make the difference for future-oriented public sector organisations. New leadership styles, more strategic orientations of HRM, and the need to adopt dynamic employment policies are playing an increasingly strategic role in supporting innovation in the public sector.

The challenge for European public administrations is to develop the ability to master innovation processes. They need to accelerate the strategic use of innovation processes and to build the necessary organisational environments which can authorise innovation in practice.

The objective is provide an insight into and inspiration for HRM strategies and measures aligning and supporting public sector innovation, which can support HRM managers in their design and implementation of dynamic capacity frameworks and new HRM systems.

The seminar is based on a practice-oriented learning methodology where key messages are explained through the presentation of European best practice examples and cases from the European Public Sector Award (EPSA) that relate to different aspects of new leadership approaches and HRM models and their relations to public sector innovation.
